Chicago Meat Authority introduces new pork cut

08-06-2007 | |

The Chicago Meath Authority (CMA) has launched their new boneless, marinated pork cut called the Pork Flat Iron Steak.

The new cut was designed as a foodservice item and can be broiled, grilled, pan fried or prepared on a flat-top grill, according to CMA.

“The Pork Flat Iron Steak offers a low-portion cost compared to a USDA Choice beef steak,” says Jim Carmignani, Chicago Meat Authority’s regional sales manager.

The steaks are sold in 10-lb. boxes (4.5 kg), and are available in a variety of portion sizes with each cut individually vacuum packaged.
