BI announces swine mgmt sessions at World Pork Expo

Swine producers attending the 2009 World Pork Expo in Des Moines, IA, can attend several swine management sessions sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc.

The free education sessions will be held at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Cattle Barn Sales Arena on Thursday, June 4, with leading swine experts providing the latest information on swine disease management and prevention.

1:00 p.m. – Experiences with the subclinical control of PCV2, by John Waddell, DVM, Sutton (Neb.) Veterinary Clinic

1:40 p.m. – Impact of modified-live vaccine intervention on a population of pigs infected with heterologous PRRS isolate, by J.P. Cano, DVM, Central University of Venezuela, South America

2:00 p.m. – Vaccine safety and control of Salmonella typhimurium infections, by John Kolb, DVM, Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc.
