The Betagro Group, one of Thailand’s top 5 agri-businesses, strengthens its wholesale unit by increasing the number of Betagro stores across the country.
The company will aim to generate sales of Bt1.1 bln this year, says Vasit Taepaisitphongse, executive VP and COO, adding that the current downturn has not had a negative impact on this company or its performance.
Nationwide outlets
“The group is expanding its Betagro Shop network from 23 to 46 outlets by the end of this year, and expects to have 120 outlets nationwide in three years,” says Vasit.
In the first half of the year, the group’s revenue, he says, rose to 23 billion baht (€480,000), 80% of which was contributed locally and the remainder from exports.
Positioned as wholesale outlets, the Betagro Shops supply fresh food products, including chicken, eggs, frozen cooked foods, pork, meatballs and sausages.
