Alltech makes changes to its European team
Global health and animal nutrition company Alltech continues to develop its European presence with the announcement of new hires in its sales, marketing and solutions deployment teams.
Marketing
Orla McAleer has been promoted to the position of European Marketing Manager, based at Alltech’s European Bioscience Centre in Ireland. Orla joined Alltech in 2003 as PR Manager for Europe, she was promoted to Communications Manager for Europe and Asia in 2004. For the past three years Orla has held the position of Asia-Pacific Marketing Manager, based in Bangkok, Thailand. In her new role, Orla will be responsible for overseeing the marketing and branding of Alltech and its products throughout Europe. Orla graduated with a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and holds a diploma in Public Relations.
Gunes Sezer joined Alltech in 2000 as Marketing Manager for Alltech Turkey. She has recently been promoted to the role of Marketing Manager for Eastern Europe, having previously held the position of Marketing Manager Europe, and Global Brand Manager for Bioplex. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Western Languages and International Marketing from Bosphorous University, Istanbul, Turkey.
Regulatory
Dr. Jean Kennedy joined Alltech in November 2010 as EU Regulatory Affairs Manager. Dr. Kennedy was awarded a PhD for her thesis on Food Safety and Consumer Protection from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland. Her previous employers include the Food Safety Authority of Ireland, Michigan State University, University College Dublin and the European Food Information Council. She is currently working in Alltech’s European Regulatory office in Paris.
Sales
Andrea Capitani joined Alltech Italy in 2007 as Sales Manager. In 2009 he became General Manager for Alltech Italy, and since January 2011 he has taken on the additional responsibility for managing Alltech Slovenia. He manages the sales, marketing and office team, and he will now dedicate more attention to key accounts. He has a degree in animal science and he studied at the University of Pisa.
Andris Pliksa graduated from the Latvian Agriculture University as a veterinary doctor. He has been an Alltech employee since 2005 and was recently promoted to the position of Country Manager for Alltech Latvia. From April of 2011 Andris will be focussing on Alltech Russia as Dairy Consultant and as part of the Russian sales team. Before joining Alltech, he worked for an Alltech distributor in the Baltic region and Latvia.
Antra Grazule joined on the Alltech team in January 2011 as Sales Manager for Latvia. She was educated as a ruminant nutritionist in the University of Latvia and in the University of Wageningen, Netherlands. She spent 13 years in the Latvian Rural Advisory Centre and will use her considerable knowledge and contacts in the dairy business to build Alltech’s Latvian base.
Bertrand Ménard-Brûlé is an engineer in agronomy from Rennes with a business-to-business marketing background. He has more than 15 years experience with the InVivo Group in Paris, then in the animal nutrition sector as Marketing Manager. Since then, he has worked as an independent consultant in Switzerland. In his new role as Ruminant Sales Manager for Alltech France, Bertrand’s priority is to strengthen Alltech’s presence in the French Ruminant Market.
Cathal McCormack – Alltech has promoted Cathal McCormack to the position of Country Manager, Ireland. Cathal’s previous position with Alltech was Regional Sales Manager for Connacht and the Midlands. Before coming to Alltech he worked as Training and Development Officer with Macra na Feirme. Cathal has a bachelor’s degree in business studies from the Galway – Mayo Institute of Technology and comes from a very strong farming background.
Emmanuel Landeau joins Alltech France as a Sales Representative on the French market and as a Swine Technical Support on the European market. Mr. Landeau, who spent two years with Alltech Mexico and 11 years for a French premix company, studied monogastric nutrition at AgroParisTech, the French engineers’ school for agronomy. In his new role he will develop direct business relationships with key customers and provide technical support focused on swine nutrition to the existing European sales team.
Grigorios Lazaridis joined Alltech Greece in 2005 as part of the sales team. In 2009 he was promoted to the position of Country Manager for Greece, and in 2011 he was promoted to the role of General Manager for Alltech’s Balkan region (Greece, Cyprus Croatia and Serbia). Grigorios was educated as a veterinarian at the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece.
John Lawlor has been promoted in Alltech Ireland as Regional Sales Manager for Leinster. He will be developing on farm business, while also supporting and developing existing business with key accounts. Mr. Lawlor, who grew up on a local dairy farm, has just completed a Masters in International Marketing while working with the Irish food board in Eastern Europe.
Neil Keane has been promoted to the position of European Ruminant Business Manager. Neil joined Alltech in 2005 as a Field Sales Manager, after spending five years working in the Feed industry in both Ireland and UK. He has a MAgrSc from University College Dublin and a postgraduate diploma in business management from University of Plymouth. Neil will be helping to drive ruminant sales across premixers, feed mills, distributors and farmers in Western Europe.
Pillerin Puskar graduated from the University Of Life Sciences, veterinary department and started in Alltech in 2004 as Country Manager for Estonia, coinciding with the launch of the new Alltech Estonia office. Pillerin has taken on the new role of Regional Manager for the Baltic Region.
Robert Walker has been promoted to European Director for Improcrop, a company majority owned by Alltech and specialising in natural plant improvement products. Robert started with Alltech in 2002 as a salesman in Ireland, moving to Northern Ireland as sales manager, then Italy as country manger. In 2009 Robert was promoted to Regional Director with overall responsibility for Alltech offices in Italy, Greece, Croatia, Cyprus, Serbia, Bosnia and Slovenia. He has worked in the agricultural sector since graduating from the University of Natal in South Africa in 1994.
Dr. Susanne Roth has been promoted to Key Account Manager for Alltech Germany. Susanne joined Alltech in April 2005 as Area Sales Manager for South Germany. She studied agricultural science at the University in Kiel, Aberdeen and Hohenheim, and finished her PhD at the department of animal nutrition on the topic of ruminant nutrition. Before she joined Alltech Dr. Roth was working in the feed additive sector in sales and marketing.
