Agromek 2008 moves a week back

The next Agromek show in Herning, Denmark, will be held one week earlier than originally was announced. The new dates are 15-19 January 2008.

This means the agricultural mechanisation show at the local Exhibition Centre will be rescheduled as the original dates were 21-26 January.

Accepted
“We have accepted to move Agromek from the scheduled dates in week 4 to the new dates in week 3 in January 2008,” said Peter Hansen, chairman of Agromek and managing director of Cormall Agro Holding.

“We reschedule to meet a wish from Exhibition Centre Herning to open the exhibition Formland on 1 February. As it will be impossible to remove machinery and stands after Agromek and then build up Formland in only five days, we have decided to meet the wish of Exhibition Centre Herning and move Agromek back a week.”

No VIP day

At the same time the organisation chose to reduce the exhibition period from six to five days. “We do this on the request of many exhibitors who find that the fall in the number of visitors should result in a shorter exhibition period,” Hansen continued.

“We have therefore decided that Agromek will not open until Tuesday. No exhibition Monday means also that we drop the traditional VIP Day, the day reserved primarily for visitors such as machinery dealers, contractors, advisors and consultants, and foreign visitors.”
