Ukrainian group of companies Agrospetsservis intends to construct a new pig farm for 5,250 heads of breeding stock in the central region of Ukraine, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the head of Agrospetsservisa, Sergei Tarasov, the company will invest €16 million in the development of the project. Construction should start within the coming couple of months, while the opening of farm is scheduled for 2017. Breeding stock and the necessary equipment will be paid for using Western funds.
Agrospetsservis produces cereals, oil seeds and sugar beets in the Kirovograd Oblast region. Its owns about 98,000 acres of land. The new farm is most likely to be built in the Kirovograd Oblast region.
