Media in Moldova report that African Swine Fever (ASF) has approached the country’s borders within a close range and warnings are being sent out to be vigilant.
According to the website RTR Moldova, epidemiological cases have been registered in Nikolayev and Odessa regions of Ukraine, at roughly 60-100 km from the border of Moldova.

The country’s National Food Safety Authority (ANSA) has therefore pointed out there is a definite risk for the swine population that is close to the borders.
