The webinar will be held in cooperation with biosecurity company Cid Lines, an Ecolab Company. Attention will be paid to cleaning and disinfection measures, one of the basic pillars of biosecurity, with also additional attention for water hygiene. In total 3 expert speakers will address the audience:
Dr Carlos Piñeiro, DVM – CEO, Animal Data Analytics, Spain
Dr Piñeiro, a well-known expert in the field of biosecurity, will give a presentation called “Securing the future: How biosecurity protects animal health and boosts production.” He will focus on the question how biosecurity enhances healthier pig production and promotes vital animals with higher welfare – now and in the future.
Gabi Doughan – Veterinarian and post-doctoral research associate, Iowa State University, USA
Water is the key element in the presentation of Gabi Doughan. She will explain how water line biology poses a biosecurity risk, and she will address how swine water systems affect medication efficacy. She will also present evidence of the impact of water line cleaning and disinfection on water quality.
Elien Claeys – Global technical manager, Cid Lines, an Ecolab Company
