is an independent agricultural journalist, writer and communications specialist with 2 decades of experience in the Canadian industry. She works with organisations and businesses across the agriculture, agri-food and agri-innovation space, helping them with writing, editing, and communications projects. As an active freelance journalist, she covers all sectors of agriculture, with a particular specialisation in research and innovation. She writes a bi-weekly agri-innovation column for Farmtario, reports regularly for the Ontario Farmer, and also contributes to a wide range of Canadian and international agricultural publications.  Previously, Lilian held management roles with several Ontario farm organisations, as well as the University of Guelph, and has also worked in Germany and in the UK. She is a past winner of the Alltech Young Leaders Award in agricultural journalism and multiple writing awards from the Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation.
