Frédéric Vangroenweghe Senior technical consultant swine Benelux, UK and Ireland, Elanco Animal Health

graduated as a veterinarian – specialisation swine-poultry-rabbits (DVM) in 1999 at Ghent University. He was employed as a reseach assistant from 1999 until 2005 at the Department of Physiology-Biochemistry-Biometrics of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. In 2004, he graduated as Master in Veterinary Public Health and Food Safety and obtained his PhD in Veterinary Sciences at Ghent University. Between 2006 and 2010, he was employed at the Animal Health Service – Flanders (Belgium) in different roles as a project veterinarian and head of the swine/poultry veterinary services in Torhout. In 2012, he obtained the title of EBVS European Veterinary Specialist in Porcine Health Management at the European College of Porcine Health Management through examination (Dipl. ECPHM). Since 2011, he has been working as a senior technical consultant swine Benelux active in 2nd line support of customers, performance of clinical field trials and affiliate responsible person for pharmacovigilance at Elanco – Benelux. In 2018, his responsibility broadened with the additional responsibility of UK and Ireland. He obtained a second PhD in Applied Biological Sciences on early detection of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae in pigs under field conditions at the Faculty of Applied Bioscience Engineering of Ghent University, Belgium.
