Podcast: Global swine health perspectives

In this edition of the Real P3 podcast, Dr Casey Bradley speaks to Dr Pablo Morena, an independent consultant who works in the pork sector in China, Russia, Mexico and the US about his experience in the different countries, what they do right, and his approach to help companies on their biosecurity and health management tools.

The Real P3 podcast series is an initiative where pork professionals from around the world are interviewed about challenges and solutions in their day-to-day work.

Dr Moreno, a veterinarian from Mexico, has been working with pigs since he was just 10 years old. He has been around the world gaining vast experience and has learnt about the various challenges and opportunities at pig farms in various countries. He enjoys speaking to the people working on the farms and gaining insight into their work, the way they do things, and why they do things a certain way.

Low hanging fruits for swine producers

Dr Casey asks Dr Moreno about what some of the “low hanging fruits” are that producers can focus on to improve productivity and profitability. He discusses diagnostics and answers the question: ‘What is the most common biosecurity mistake?’
